According to statistics, success in the business world is based on both brains and looks. If two individuals have similar IQ’s, the one with looks will go farther faster. Sharm Cressey believes that one must dress for success. Smart attire, she says, can be a key differentiator in reaching both professional and personal goals. In fact, Sharm attributes much of her professional accomplishments to her keen sense of fashion and style, the knowledge of which she has coupled with dedication and perseverance to move forward in her chosen careers.
Sharm’s selling skills have been honed over the past 15 years in one of the most competitive selling arenas – publication advertising sales in the high-tech environment. She’s coupled these skills with continuing her expertise in the world of fashion, particularly in "defining" style and discerning fashion trends. Most recently, she set sales records at Neiman-Marcus as the Designer Specialist for Dana Buchman, one of the world’s most successful lines of women’s clothing. As a Fashion Stylist, her forte is coordinating ensembles and accessories.
Sharm’s previous fashion and style experience includes representing Benetton clothing as a print model and also managing a high-end denim boutique, Plus4 Jeans, selling both men's and women's brand name jeans. Sharm’s fashion sense originated over twenty years ago through extensive travel in Europe to buy clothing, then redesigning them for her own business: selling to individual clients at local fashion shows. Sharm also owned her own stylish boutique, Slick Chick, in Nottingham, England.
Sharm has consistently leveraged her sense of fashion style to gain prominence in her chosen professions. Her smart personal style makes her memorable to clients, and, coupled with her dedication, enables her to develop a large base of repeat business.
Sharm is now applying her knowledge of style and fashion in promoting the Jana Kos Collection clothing line. She truly believes that every woman has a uniqueness, which will emerge when properly attired. “Fashion,” she says, “not only helps a woman to achieve her personal and private desires, but also to create lasting impressions and memories along the way.”
